The building has had multiple uses but most notable is Schafer's Hardware Store (pictured). Can you imagine the offering with such a large building?
Before being renovated, the building was used as a dance academy where children of all ages learned the art of synced choreography.
To make way for resident parking behind the building, a dilapidated building was torn down. It was the site of a glove factory in its hay day.
To make artist housing completely functional, we had to make room for parking. This video shows the demolition of the Schafer building behind the lofts.
